The residential buildings lined up along the Alpenstrasse, form a homogeneous and characteristic appearance with green, loose and regular open spaces. It was important to preserve this aspect in the site protection zone when setting and designing the new building. The additional utilisation, which was possible according to the current building law, was specifically implemented by means of two interlocking volumes. In this way, the footprint and also the façade facing Alpenstrasse could be adapted to the small scale of the surroundings. The two-storey penthouse thus received a generous roof terrace oriented on three sides. The single-stone masonry is finished with a terracotta-coloured coarse textured plaster, which conveys a southern atmosphere.
