Situated in the middle of Dagmersellen, Lindezälgmatte is a generously proportioned area of open ground that is still recognisably agricultural in nature. The basic concept underlying the design is demonstrated by the way the buildings have been optimally integrated into their natural surroundings. Seven individual residential buildings benefiting from a park-like landscape are arranged freely around the plot to avoid any intrusive juxtaposition and to take full advantage of generous sight lines. The required horizontal nature of the facade structure creates an optical reduction of the building's volume and a good sense of scale in the surrounding context. The traffic-free development gives every appearance of being a tranquil, gentle composition offering an agreeable and varied living environment.
