The Rathaus Brauerei restaurant in Lucerne's old town is on the arcade floor of the time-honoured Lucerne Town Hall and Amrhyn House. And since 1998 beer has also been brewed here. The new owner's aim in converting the building was to increase its attraction. The possibilities in the listed building were limited. Beer and brewing are celebrated in the entrance area and bar with visible technical elements, such as the showcased beer tank. The window frontage, buffet and kitchen with a dispatch area have been replaced. The restaurant area will has a new wooden floor, new furniture and ventilation. Video art on the vaults by Irene Naef gives the guest area both a thematic and new-age character.
